For hairstylist Joey George, journaling has become a primary creative outlet over the past few months of lockdown. ‘For me, journaling is an opportunity to document what inspires and motivates my work’ says George. ‘With the limitations imposed by the pandemic, I use journaling and social platforms to chronicle the evolution of previous projects.’ ‘I wanted to give a new perspective – an "Upcycle" – breathing new life into something that once was. I experimented by clipping hair styles and wigs from magazines that I had created from previous projects and repurposing them for a new look.
